PRIVACY POLICY

Last updated: 28/08/2026

Reverie Blooms respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, how we look after it, and the choices you have. We handle your information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

What we collect

We only collect what we need to serve you well. Depending on how you interact with us, that may include:

  • Your name, email address, phone number and delivery address

  • The details of your order and any gift message or card note you ask us to include

  • The information you give us in a wedding or event enquiry, such as your date, venue and the kind of flowers you're dreaming of

  • Payment information, which is handled securely by our payment provider and is not stored by us

  • Basic technical information your browser shares when you visit the site, such as your general location and which pages you looked at, usually through cookies and analytics

‍ ‍

How we collect it

‍ Mostly, you give it to us directly, when you place an order, fill in an enquiry form, sign up to hear from us, or send us a message. Some technical information is collected automatically as you use the site. If someone orders flowers to be sent to you, we'll also receive your name and address from them so we can deliver.

‍ ‍

Why we use it

‍ ‍We use your information to:

  • Take, make and deliver your order

  • Respond to your enquiries and quote on wedding and event work

  • Keep you updated about an order or booking

  • Send you news, offers or seasonal updates, but only if you've asked us to, and you can stop any time

  • Improve our website and understand what our customers enjoy

  • Meet our legal and tax obligations ‍

We will not use your information for anything unexpected, and we will never sell it.

Who we share it with

‍ We keep your information close. We only share it where we need to in order to run the business, for example with:

  • Our payment provider, to process your payment securely

  • Our website and email platforms, which store data on our behalf

  • A delivery driver or courier, where one is used, so your flowers reach the right door ‍ ‍

These providers are only given what they need, and we choose ones that take security seriously. Some may store data outside Australia. We otherwise won't disclose your information to anyone unless you've asked us to, or the law requires it.

‍ ‍

Email marketing

‍ If you've opted in, we may send you the occasional update. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and we'll act on it promptly. We use Squarespace Email Campaigns to manage this.

‍ ‍

Cookies

‍ ‍Our website uses cookies, which are small files that help the site work and help us understand how it's used. You can turn cookies off in your browser settings, though some parts of the site may not work as smoothly if you do.

‍ ‍

Keeping your information safe

‍ ‍We take reasonable steps to protect your information from loss, misuse and unauthorised access, and we only keep it for as long as we need it or the law requires. When we no longer need it, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it.

‍ ‍

Your choices

‍ ‍You have the right to:

  • Ask what personal information we hold about you

  • Ask us to correct anything that's wrong

  • Ask us to delete your information, where we're not required to keep it

  • Opt out of marketing at any time

‍Just get in touch and we'll help. We may need to confirm your identity first.

‍ ‍

Making a complaint

‍ If you're ever concerned about how we've handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You can reach us at ruby@reverieblooms.com.au. If you're not satisfied with how we respond, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

‍ ‍

Changes to this policy

‍ ‍We may update this policy from time to time. The current version always lives here, with the date at the top.
